Carroll County Middle School is beginning a drama club next month.
The group is led by Carmen Simo-Perkins, a CCHS grad and instructional assistant at the middle school. Their first meeting will be Sept. 6 at 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
Students can sign up for acting cast or stage crew. The first event will be a talent show where club members perform skits, make posters or share their other talents. A larger production will be scheduled in the spring.
Drama club will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5 pm. Contact Carmen.simo-perkins@carroll.kyschools.us for more information.

Carroll County Middle School students began using a new diagnostic tool in their match classes today.
The i-Ready Math Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that adjusts its questions to suit a student's needs. Each item a student sees is individualized based on their answer to the previous question.
For example, a series of correct answers will result in slightly harder questions, while a series of incorrect answers will yield slightly easier questions.
The purpose of this is not to give students a score or grade, but instead to determine how best to support the student’s learning. The diagnostic is given on the student's computer.
