Today’s House Assembly came with an exciting Hunger Games twist. Students enjoyed two fantastic performances from the Line Dancing Club. The combined seventh- and eighth-grade bands provided some music for today's event as well.
In addition to celebrating a variety of student achievements, we announced the winner of our school-wide food drive: Reveur, the Blue House, with an impressive 388 cans collected. Their victory earned them an advantage in the “Hunger Games” Dodgeball competition, but in the end, it was Altruismo, the Black House, who was victorious.

Carroll County Middle School hosted its annual Community Day, warmly welcoming local leaders and partners to the building. Guests were given tours by the W.E.B. Leaders, a group of eighth-grade students selected to be mentors for fifth graders and to serve as a student voice for CCMS.
“There are a lot of good things going on here at Carroll County Middle School,” said Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes. “We’re trying our best to increase the opportunities for our kids and give them the opportunities to become successful citizens.”
School administrators provided detailed overviews of the programs and initiatives that form the core of a student’s day at CCMS. A W.E.B. Leader also spoke about the valuable mentoring program and the positive difference it makes for students across the school.
CCMS Principal Dr. Robin Stephenson thanked the visitors for attending, emphasizing the ongoing commitment of her staff to cultivating a positive school culture for both students and staff. She highlighted how they have consistently watched the student body mature and grow throughout the year.
“Thank you for taking the time to see a typical day at Carroll County Middle School,” Stephenson said. “We are proud of our students and staff.”
The program wrapped up with community members getting to join a house, just like every CCMS student and staffer. The houses work together as teams throughout the year, students collect points for their houses based on their behaviors and the school holds monthly assemblies highlighting the houses and student achievement.

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We believe in being transparent and making sure every family knows what to expect in case of an emergency. Please take a moment to review this letter outlining our reunification procedures , which are the steps we’d follow to safely reunite students and families after an emergency.

The drive continues through Friday, Nov. 14. Donations can be dropped off at any of our schools. 🏫A number of local businesses are also accepting donations for the local food pantry.
Thank you for helping make a difference in our community! 🤝❤️
