
CCHS Seniors received their cap and gown today following honors day. The seniors were also treated to a slide show of their classmates featuring baby photos and senior photos.

The Carroll County High School symphonic band is competing at the State Concert Band Festival at the University of Louisville today. This is the first time in recent history the band has made it to this level of competition so a bus was chartered for the musicians.







Students in the Agriculture Employability Skills class tested out their interviewing abilities today with a guest panel. The class teaches life skills, such as purchasing a car, paying taxes, how to write a check and how to write a resume and cover letter. The 12-person mock interview panel included industry representatives, CCHS Principal Amy Sutter, small business owners, a member of the military as well as Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes.










The Carroll County High School FFA Greenhouse is open! Plants are for sale from Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This week, the greenhouse will stay open until 4 p.m. on Thursday for the Mother's Day shoppers. Cell packs are $2, 4 inch pots are $4 and all hanging baskets are $18.





Students in the electrical program at the Carroll County Area Technology Center learned about pipe bending from two Synergy Electrical Services employees. They explained the types of bends, materials to use and why each bend is used.

CCHS science students of Mariah Adair are closing out their year by working on a variety of experiments. They sought to understand different chemical reactions, such as when soda interact with Mentos candy. Students wrote a lab report explaining what they learned. They used different types of soda to see if they reacted differently to the candy.






The Carroll County Middle School and Carroll County High School bands performed Friday in their annual spring concert. The CCMS Winter Guard also participated.







Yahir Garcia Mendoza and Katie McAlister were crowned King and Queen of the Carroll County High School prom tonight. The other members of the prom court were Madigan Coulter, Alyssa Dermon, Anna Richter, Averie Schaub, Courtney Strickland, Chloe Young, Brack Cayton-Wright, Alex Froman, Andrew Frye, Tucker Harris, Landon Isaacs and Connor Mefford.




The Carroll County High School prom is Saturday at Gen. Butler State Resort Park. The promgoers will participate in the Grand March at the CCHS gymnasium at 7 p.m. then go to the prom. The prom king and queen will be crowned at 7 p.m. at the Grand March. The 2023 Prom Court includes Madigan Coulter, Alyssa Dermon, Katie McAlister, Anna Richter, Averie Schaub, Courtney Strickland, Chloe Young, Richard Cayton-Wright, Alex Froman, Andrew Frye, Yahir Garcia Mendoza, Tucker Harris, Landon Isaacs and Connor Mefford.


Austin Hicks and Courtney Strickland were named Carroll County High School's Winter Sports Athlete of the Year. Congratulations!



Carroll County High School will be the scene of a mock accident on the afternoon of April 26.
The event is being held before prom and graduation to remind students of the importance of not driving under the influence or driving while distracted.
A number of law enforcement and emergency personnel will be on scene, including a helicopter. In addition, criminal justice students instructed by Benny Johnson, will investigate the scene as their end-of-year project.
“Parents and community members, please be aware of this event and that it is a learning event for our students and a practice event for our first responders in the community,” said Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes.
The accident will portray an alcohol-involved fatality scene. Only students in the junior and senior classes will attend the event. The mock accident will begin at 12:30 p.m.

The Three Rivers Health District held a vaccination clinic at Carroll County High School today. The program allows them to assist students to become current on all their vaccinations.



CCHS art students put on a great display during their inaugural art show. Their works expressed tremendous amounts of creativity and talent.





Five Panthers were named to the All-A District Team following this week's tournament. Coy Willhoite, Colton Deitz and Braden Stephenson received the honor for baseball while Brooklyn Rose and Mallory Noble were recognized for softball. Congratulations to each of them for their hard work and dedication to their sport!

CCHS held a spring pep rally, powder buff volleyball game and a brief excerpt of the production of The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon recently.








Students from iLEAD Academy recently held their spring showcase, an opportunity for them to demonstrate their pathway skills to the public.
